Divorce can be legally, emotionally, and practically complex. My background as both an attorney and therapist gives me a distinctive perspective on the divorce process, especially for people seeking alternatives to traditional litigation. As a therapist (I also have a Master of Science in Education and hold a New York state teaching license) I have worked with clients navigating the emotional and relational challenges that often accompany divorce, including grief, conflict, parenting concerns, identity changes, and uncertainty about what comes next. I also bring legal training and prior experience as a practicing attorney, along with specialized training relevant to collaborative divorce, including 40 hours of mediation training through Phoenix Strategies and collaborative divorce training through the Colorado Collaborative Divorce Professionals. In addition to traditional psychotherapy, I am available for the following divorce-related services:
Collaborative Divorce Neutral: I am available to serve as a neutral member of a collaborative divorce team. Drawing on my legal training, clinical background, mediation training, and collaborative divorce training, I aim to help support a thoughtful, efficient, and emotionally informed process tailored to the needs of the participants.
Limited Consultation: I am available for limited consultation for individuals or couples trying to understand their options. This may include thinking through whether marital counseling still makes sense, when it may be time to move from counseling toward divorce, or which divorce process — litigation, mediation, or collaborative divorce — may be the best fit.

Please note that I do not provide legal advice or act as an attorney in this work. Divorce-related consultation is not a substitute for advice from a licensed family-law attorney. Where legal rights, obligations, court filings, parenting plans, property division, maintenance, or other legal issues are involved, clients should consult with an attorney.
